The Edith Renfrow Smith '37 Black Women's Library

Mrs. Renfrow Smith is also the namesake of Edith Renfrow Smith Black Women’s Library in the Conney M. Kimbo Black Cultural Center.  The Library opened in April 2019 and was spearheaded by Rayyon Robinson (’19), who explained the importance of the library's naming:

"I wanted  the legacy of black women to have a concrete history – it was important to have a strong name associated with it.  That’s why we decided to name it after her.”
